DREAMERS (Cert 15)

Nigerian migrant Isio has been caught working without papers, and sent to a detention centre, awaiting deportation. Alone and confused, she is offered advice and then affection by the more experienced Farah. But time is running out for both of them, and they plan a risky escape. Gharoro-Akpojotor’s debut film was made on a shoe-string, but a sharp script, subtle acting by the leads and a strong visual style within limited sets, make this a small film which packs a huge emotional punch.
