Director Joachim Trier reunites with Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person In The World, 2022) to explore strained father/daughter dynamics in this 2025 Cannes Grand Prix winning, darkly comic drama. After the death of their mother, sisters - stage actress Nora (Reinsve) and historian Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) - are confronted with their director father Gustav Borg’s new project. His film based upon the Borg family’s painful history and starring American movie star Rachel Kemp (Elle Fanning) further complicates the trio’s fractured relationship.
