Cinemini: A Magical First Cinema Experience
A specially created film event for young children and their grown-ups, combining short films, sensory play and creative exploration.
For the Harvest Festival, discover a playful collection of short films inspired by the natural world, where sounds become drawings, travellers become birds, trees change shape and a dog’s tail takes on a life of its own.
After the films, explore a cinematic world of light, colour, shadow, movement and play where children can follow their curiosity and discover the magic of cinema together.
Award winning animated shorts being shown in the cinema:
- Un lynx dans la ville
- Le chat d'appartement
- Le tigre sans rayures
- Le renard minuscule
- Le vélo et l'éléphant
- Los Carpinchos (with kind permission from The French Institute)
Animal Habitats
As part of our Harvest Festival film line-up, we are delighted to team up again with Small World Cinema, who are taking inspiration from this collection of funny and imaginative short films featuring curious animals, brave little characters and unexpected adventures.
From a lynx discovering the bright lights of the city to a tiny fox with a very big imagination, these charming stories are perfect for young children and their families.
Before the screening, children can create their own miniature animal habitats using natural materials and found objects, including twigs, acorns, feathers, fabric and more. (Animals not included!)
